Government funded childcare for 9-23 month olds

Universal government funded childcare is available for working parents of 9  – 23 month olds. This is 12 hours a week based on an all year round setting. The funding comes into effect from the term after your child turns 9 months and runs until they are 24 months, when they will be entitled to the funding for 2 year olds.

Government funded childcare for 3-5 year olds

Universal government funded childcare is for three, four and five year olds. This is 15 hours a week based on a term-time year (38 weeks). The funding comes into effect from the term after your child’s third birthday and runs until they reach compulsory school age.

At Cleo’s Caring Corner Day Nursery we are open all year round. Because of this we offer 12 hours of government funded childcare per week over the whole year.

30 hours

Working parents of three, four and five year old children can apply for an additional 15 hours per week during term time, making a total of 30 hours. As Cleo’s Caring Corner Day Nursery is open all year we offer an extra 12 hours a week, making up the full entitlement to 24 hours per week.

To check if you are eligible for the government free hours you can click on this link and follow the steps

If you are eligible for the extra hours you will have to sign up online. You will get a code, which you will share with us as your registered childcare provider. If you need any help with this please speak to a member of staff and they will be able to guide you through it.

Tax Free Child Care

Cleo’s Caring Corner Day Nursery is registered to receive Child Tax Free Childcare as payment for your nursery fees.

If you are entitled to Tax-Free Childcare, you’ll set up an online childcare account for your child. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to use to pay your provider.

You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as the 15 and 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.

You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. This goes up to £1,000 every 3 months if a child is disabled (up to £4,000 a year).

Please click on the link below and follow the steps to find out if you are eligible
